Please note that all prices shown on this website are for deliveries with a total weight of 1.5 tons or less and a length of 9m or less. Deliveries weighing more than 1.5 tons and/or over 9m can be arranged but when you checkout, please select the "Large delivery" option and we will issue you with a formal quote that covers delivery. In many cases the delivery fee will be the same as standard when we formalise your quote but we'd generally like to check first.
Also note that the delivery charges are for us delivering in our vehicles to your site. If you have small items like screws, brackets or other accessories that can be posted, please choose 'Post By Mail' when checking out and we will quote you for Postage & Handling.
If you don't want to pay for delivery, you can choose to pick up your order from our Wattleup Rd warehouse (about half way between Jandakot and Naval Base) just off the Rowley Rd exit on the Freeway.
Note that we are in the process of relocating our business back to Gingin, where we began, so the Wattleup Rd warehouse will be vacated as soon as things progress enough for the relocation and there may sometimes be disturbances when collecting from Wattleup Rd in the coming months.
We have 2 main delivery areas. Area 1 covers an area roughly bounded by Joondalup, Ellenbrook, Midland, Armadale, Serpentine and Rockingham and covering some parts of the foothills
Area 2 is a thin corridor surrounding Area 1 and attracts a higher fixed delivery charge. All other areas outside Areas 1 & 2 are calculated at a per km rate that generally is a little lower than the actual cost we incur to deliver to you.
We are also able to deliver to many of the rural areas around Perth whenever our delivery schedule allows it.
Delivery prices are not shown on this website for rural areas so you will need to select "Other location" then request a Quote when you click "Checkout" at the top of the site. Please also enter the desired delivery address and we will advise you whether we can deliver to your area, and when, and will give you a final price including delivery when we send the final formal quote back to you. Delivery charges in these areas are calculated at a per km rate that generally doesn't quite cover our cost price to deliver to you.
With our smaller truck and long trailer, we have the capability to deliver small loads to rural areas around Perth more economically than if a larger truck had to be sent. Sometimes this may require someone to be present on delivery to help unload but fuel charges are about half with this smaller truck and trailer compared to larger trucks so it may be an option to reduce your delivery charge
We are happy to work with you to arrange transport of steel to any area within our beautiful state of WA.
We have dropped many loads of steel to metro transport depots for customers, with our steel going all the way to homes and businesses in the South-West, The Goldfields and in the Kimberly and Pilbara regularly. Our steel has gone everywhere from Albany to Kalgoorlie and from Geraldton to Karratha, Port Headland and Kununurra! We generally prefer for you to arrange the transport and we will just charge you a metro delivery fee to drop to your freight company's depot. If you really need us to however, we can organise all the transport for you and you can just pay us and wait for your order to arrive. If you want us to arrange such transport please advise whether you want your order transported to your nearest depot (normally much cheaper) or a full door-to-door service. It can sometimes take us a day or two to get you the best possible price for freight.
