Best Buy Steel is a relatively young steel supplier when compared to the well-known names around Perth and we're trying to be a bit different from the rest. We've been growing since November 2007 and feel we have earned a place as a leading retail supplier of many steel products in Western Australia. We started as 'BigEconomy Warehouse' but that name was hard for us to say and for you to remember so we renamed ourselves to 'Best Buy Steel'. This name reflects what we try to achieve - selling quality steel at competitive prices - which is why we feel we are on track to becoming the best place to buy steel in WA!
We are a small business, which is a rare thing in the retail and trade steel markets, with most small businesses involved in steel through fabrication or installation. We, however, focus on steel retailing to the DIY market and to businesses that use steel products, such as fabricators, patio installers, sign makers and the like.
One benefit of our size is that we are independent so we are able to source top quality steel from the best suppliers and manufacturers locally and internationally at the very best prices. And, despite being small, we are tenacious when it comes to finding the right products from the right manufacturers and suppliers at the right wholesale prices. We prefer to sell Australian steel but when market forces require it or when we can get a better product at a better price from a manufacturer whose quality we trust then we also sell imported products, often directly importing steel ourselves. You'll find we sell good to top quality steel, avoiding the rubbish that some importers bring in, and yet our prices on Australian and quality imported steel are very competitive even with those who sell inferior products in many instances.
We stock many items and are able to supply many more. Sometimes we have to get back to you with a price for a particular product because, rather than carry stock that we don't regularly sell and having to pass on the costs of holding that stock to you, we often check prices with several of our manufacturers or wholesalers to find the best price for particular products when you need them. This creates a win-win situation, where our overheads are lower and so, more often than not, your costs are lower too. With mergers, take-overs and vested interests sometimes playing a role in steel supply chains, we cherish our independence to find the best prices and products for you, from any local or global manufacturer or wholesaler.
As well as our rigorous searches for the best priced quality steel, we are also able to compete with the other steel retailers, big and small, because we are efficient. Our operations are lean and simple and avoid expenses that would otherwise be passed on to you as higher prices. You won't find anyone bludging at Best Buy Steel! We all work hard as part of a small business and are dedicated to growing our business and giving you the best service we can despite having minimal staff and simple premises.
Part of our service includes a commitment to do our very best to match or beat any written quote for an equivalent profuct. This means that, as long as we won't make a loss by supplying your steel, we'll give you a great price on an equivalent product even if it means we make no profit from the sale. As a small business, we cannot offer an unconditional price guarantee, and we have to be careful at times that comparisons are 'apples-to-apples', but you can rest assured that if we can possibly compete with another steel supplier, we will. Look at our advertised prices or try us for a quote to compare with one you already have - you may be pleasantly surprised! Please don't be offended if we sometimes need to ask for evidence of another quote or the quality of other quoted materials so we can properly compare and try to beat it.
